Scope and ContentPrinted scale plan (folded & glued to page) of Upper & Lower Holloway, Highbury, Canonbury, Upper Islington etc. Showing the District intended to be supplied with water by Holloway Water Works 1810 (C.A.Weir Surveyor) New River Company refused to supply water to the houses George Pocock had built, so through an Act of 1810, he obtained permission to dig a well in Georges Place for Holloway Waterworks. New River Company pulled down his pump and forced Pocock out of business in 1815.
