Paul Thurlow was a volunteer on the Islington's Pride LGBTQ+ archives project at the Islington Local History Centre and later became a volunteer with the Islington Local History Centre. He is a long-term resident of Islington and an active member of the LGBTQ+ community having volunteered with many organisations including Gay Switchboard. He also actively participated in many events and activities.

Printout of the written evidence submitted by Dr Justin Varney, public health doctor, to the inquiry conducted by the Women and Equalities Select Committee of the House of Commons' into Health and social care and LGBT communities in 2018. He lists some of the (then) recent research, data and other reports relating to health inequalities and other health issues in the LGBTQ+ communities and individuals, carried out by a range of organisations including Public Health England, Department of Health and Social Care (England), local authorities and voluntary sector organisations. He then gives an overview of the issues and available data and research, answering a set of questions on which the Committee invited responses. It includes a list of references.
