Paul Thurlow was a volunteer on the Islington's Pride LGBTQ+ archives project at the Islington Local History Centre and later became a volunteer with the Islington Local History Centre. He is a long-term resident of Islington and an active member of the LGBTQ+ community having volunteered with many organisations including Gay Switchboard. He also actively participated in many events and activities.

Eleven A4 sheets, all but one printed both sides, black and blue on white with coloured charts and illustrations. Copy of a presentation made by Dr Justin Varney, consultant in public health (and Co-chair of Southwark LGBT Network at the time) made at one of the Greater London Council's (GLA) LGBT Stakeholder Meetings, held on 5 June 2013. It gives an overview of the (then) new NHS structures in Greater London including the public health responsibilities and structures . At the time, the individual borough councils were responsible for public health and community health services, including sexual health services, and were required to establish Health and Wellbeing Boards. He then sets out his perspective on the mental and physical health issues that particularly and disproportionately impacted on LGBTQ+ people, including wider issues such as smoking, drinking and drug use; homelessness; social isolation; crime and violence; how intersectionality compounds these inequalities. finally, he looks at the available evidence of LGBTQ+ health inequalities in London and issues for discussion.
