Paul Thurlow was a volunteer on the Islington's Pride LGBTQ+ archives project at the Islington Local History Centre and later became a volunteer with the Islington Local History Centre. He is a long-term resident of Islington and an active member of the LGBTQ+ community having volunteered with many organisations including Gay Switchboard. He also actively participated in many events and activities.

Undated postcard to publicise the "Loudest Whispers" lesbian, gay, bisexual and transgender mixed media visual arts exhibition and related events in February 2020 as part of LGBT+ History Month. The theme was 'poetry, prose and plays'. The exhibition was held at the Conference Centre Gallery at St Pancras Hospital, NW5 (Camden) and the Old Diorama Gallery at Regent's Place, 201 Drummond Street, NW1. [copy 2 of 2]
