Creator history
Paul Thurlow was a volunteer on the Islington's Pride LGBTQ+ archives project at the Islington Local History Centre and later became a volunteer with the Islington Local History Centre. He is a long-term resident of Islington and an active member of the LGBTQ+ community having volunteered with many organisations including Gay Switchboard. He also actively participated in many events and activities.

Scope and Content
A4 sheet, black and red on white front, multi-coloured photo montage on back. Sheet produced to recruit volunteers to help with the Haringey Vanguard project, a lottery-funded BAME (black and minority ethnic) history and archiving project (2018-2021) established by Veronica McKenzie, and supported by the LMA (London Metropolitan Archives, and HAMS: Haringey Archive and Museum Service (part of Haringey Council). The collection is housed at Bruce Castle Museum in Haringey. The sheet was picked up at the 17th annual Gay and Lesbian History and Archives Conference at the London Metropolitan Archives in Clerkenwell, 7 December 2019.
