Paul Thurlow was a volunteer on the Islington's Pride LGBTQ+ archives project at the Islington Local History Centre and later became a volunteer with the Islington Local History Centre. He is a long-term resident of Islington and an active member of the LGBTQ+ community having volunteered with many organisations including Gay Switchboard. He also actively participated in many events and activities.

Article on the Gay Youth Movement's (GYM) lobby meeting with Members of Parliament at the House of Commons on 16th February 1983. Includes a list of some of the MP's who attended; focusses on discussions about reforming the age of consent for sex between men (then set at 21 years old). Written by John Hein, a member of GYM.
