Claims that the funding received by the Scouts from the Inner London Education Authority (ILEA) (then the education authority for all Inner London boroughs, including Islington) was under threat from Neil Fletcher, chair of the ILEA Further and Higher Education Sub-Committee. The article contrasts this to the recently-made grants made by the Greater London Council (GLC) to the London Gay Teenage Group (LGTG) and the English Collective of Prostitutes.
