Four sheets of carbon copy of typed text, black on white, A4. Three page typescript for article and one page covering letter from Paul Thurlow (secretary, Gay Youth Movement) to Tony Card of Socialist Teacher journal. Article uses quotes from young lesbians and gay men taken from "I Know What I Am - Gay Teenagers and the Law" (Joint Council for Gay Teenagers, 1980) which is elsewhere in the collection, and gives a list of urgent changes to be implemented in schools. Main part of the text formed the basis for "It's Only a Phase..." a chapter in 'School's Out - Gay Rights and Education' (Gay Teachers Group/Socialist Teachers Alliance, 1983) also in the collection. Followed on from the presentation and discussion on "Curriculum needs as seen by young lesbians and gays" at the Gay Teachers' Group (GTG) conference "Homosexuality in the Curriculum" held on Saturday and Sunday 13th and 14th November in Westbourne Grove, London W11.
