Special edition of the Labour Campaign for Gay Rights (LCGR) journal 'Gay Socialist' about the LCGR's fringe meeting held on 28th September in the Clifton Hotel in Blackpool during the 1982 Labour Party Conference. Anger over recent homophobic coverage of Peter Tatchell and others resulted in journalists from some newspapers being ejected from the meeting by the Chair, John Shires. Includes the speeches made by Tony Benn MP, Jo Richardson MP, Joan Lester MP, Peter Tatchell (Secretary of Bermondsey Labour Party) and Ken Livingstone (Leader of the Greater London Council). Also includes summaries of the speeches made by Jay McLaren and Paul Thurlow of the Gay Youth Movement (GYM. LCGR is now 'LGBT+ Labour'.
