Paul Thurlow was a volunteer on the Islington's Pride LGBTQ+ archives project at the Islington Local History Centre and later became a volunteer with the Islington Local History Centre. He is a long-term resident of Islington and an active member of the LGBTQ+ community having volunteered with many organisations including Gay Switchboard. He also actively participated in many events and activities.

Article about London Gay Teenage Group (LGTG) inviting the Festival of Light (FoL) evangelical Christian group to send a member under 21 years old to experience what the Group is really like. The Group's invitation was a response to the FoL demanding an end to the grant recently awarded by the Greater London Council (GLC) to LGTG for office equipment. Refers to the GLC finding that the LGTG has "an excellent record of service to the people with whom it is working". Article adhered to A4 paper along with 2 other articles.
