Paul Thurlow was a volunteer on the Islington's Pride LGBTQ+ archives project at the Islington Local History Centre and later became a volunteer with the Islington Local History Centre. He is a long-term resident of Islington and an active member of the LGBTQ+ community having volunteered with many organisations including Gay Switchboard. He also actively participated in many events and activities.

This leaflet published by the Joint Council for Gay Teenagers briefly sets out the views of the Council under sections titled Facing the Facts, Facing Oppression - Bad, Mad, and Sad, Facing the Future - Joint Council for Gay Teenagers and Gay Youth Groups. Gives the contact address for JCGT. Includes quotes from the words of young lesbians and gay men. Item contains sensitive subject material.
