    Paul Thurlow was a volunteer on the Islington's Pride LGBTQ+ archives project at the Islington Local History Centre and later became a volunteer with the Islington Local History Centre. He is a long-term resident of Islington and an active member of the LGBTQ+ community having volunteered with many organisations including Gay Switchboard. He also actively participated in many events and activities.

    A half A4 two-page, stencil-produced typed "flyer" advertising the first meeting of the London Gays Against the Nazis group, to be held on 28th November 1978 at Action Space, Chenies Street WC1, Also advertising the first meeting of North London GAN, to be held at Caxton House, Archway on 14th December 1978. Leaflet was handed out at the Gay Socialist Conference 1978 "Sexuality and Power" held on 25th and 26th November 1978 at Caxton House, Archway, organised by the Gay Left journal collective.
