Brecknock Road Estate, an early social housing block of 225 self-contained flats, designed by E.C.P. Monson (1872-1941) who also designed the Town Hall, completed 1939. The16 red-brick blocks of 5 storeys were built around 2 courtyards with Middle Way public path between them, shown here.
