This series contains information on individuals connected to Sadler's Wells. The information is generally in the form of press cuttings; however, there are occasionally essays, pamphlets and letters relating to some of the individuals.

Finsbury Libraries and later Islington Local History staff continued to add to this collection of biographical files following their acquisition as part of the material purchased from Mr W L Borrell in 1922, hence why they contain biographical information up until 2001.
