The question asked the Prime Minster to agree that the grants made by the Greater London Council (GLC) to "minority groups such as the English Collective of Prostitutes, Lesbian Line, and the Teenage Gay Rights Group" were a "waste of money", which she did. The 'Teenage Gay Rights Group' was a reference to the London Gay Teenage Group (LGTG), which had recently received a grant from the GLC.
