Ex-JLS pop star-turned-farmer JB Gill has dropped into a Barnsbury primary school to plant some trees.
Gooner JB, who is now a Songs of Praise presenter, was joined by former Blue Peter gardener Chris Collins and Arsenal mascot Gunnersauraus.
Ten native elder trees were planted by children at the grounds of St Andrew’s School, in Matilda Street.
The planting is part of a project by green energy supplier Octopus Energy and Arsenal in the Community.
JB Gill, who rose to fame in 2008 with fellow JLS bandmates in the fifth series of ITV’s The X Factor, now owns a 11-acre smallholding in Kent, where he rears turkeys, pigs and chickens.
JB said: “Living on a farm I want to use renewable resources where I can.

“Not everyone is able to help, but it is about doing whatever you can do to make a difference.”
