Cyclists can apply for a secure bicycle parking space on the street as part of a pilot scheme that could be rolled out across the borough.
New cycle shelters have been installed in Crayford Road, Tufnell Park, and Hanley Road, Upper Holloway.
Those keen to secure a spot can apply online to rent one of the unit’s six spaces.
The scheme could be rolled out across the borough if the pilot is successful and if the Town Hall can secure external funding, transport chief Councillor Claudia Webbe said.
“Bike hangars offer residents a safe and effective way to protect their bikes from the weather and theft in places where storage space is at a premium,” she added.
“The provision of secure on-street cycle parking will provide peace of mind and encourage more residents to take up cycling, which is healthier and better for the environment.”
