Abstract

The book tells us how the Welsh have, over the centuries, were important in supplying milk to the population of London. Starting with the influence of the drovers who took their cattle from rural Wales to the city, this book describes the establishment of many dairies and corner shops which, open all hours, provided fresh milk to the growing metropolis.
