Abstract
Richard Brothers (1757-1824) Canadian born religious prophet and British Israelite who proclaimed himself 'Prince of the Hebrews' pronouncing London 'New Jerusalem'. Arrested for treason in 1795 for prophesying the end of the monarchy and held in Doctor Sutherland's private asylum Fisher House where he continued to write pamphlets. Released in 1806.
