Abstract
Boudica, Queen of the Celtic Iceni, lead an uprising against the occupying Roman forces in AD 60-61 under Suetonius Paulinus. According to tradition, her last stand took place on the site of Kings Cross (previously Battle Bridge) around Boxworth and Sheen Groves.
