Abstract

John Till Allingham (1775-1812) dramatist whose plays performed at Haymarket, Drury Lane and Covent Garden, 'an agreeable fellow of jovial disposition' who died of drink at his father's house in Colebrooke Terrace and is buried in Bunhill Fields. Allingham Street is named after him.
