Abstract
Sir William Edwin Manchester (1869-1956), Mayor of Islington 1929-30. Born in Holloway, dairyman for Express Dairy, later director. Justice of the Peace, Alderman 1909-19 and 1922-34. Islington representative to Metropolitan Water Board. He was knighted in 1936 for political and public service.
