Abstract
Demonstration of 35,000 -100,000 at the start of a march from Copenhagen Fields, Islington on 21st April 1834 carrying a petition with 200,000 signatures to Lord Melbourne in protest against the transportation of 6 Dorset farm workers (Tolpuddle Martyrs) to Australia for forming a trades union.
