Signed HIG, David Higginbottom (1903-80) was a member of the Islington Art Circle (IAC) and exhibited at the circle’s previews and exhibitions during the 1970s. Islington Museum and Local History Centre hold several of his oil works.

Abstract

A nursery ground in the 19th century, Thornhill Gardens was given to Islington in 1946 by the freeholder Noel Thornhill. This shows the garden with Malvern Terrace behind.
