Abstract
White Conduit House as it looked in 1800 though the people are in Victorian dress. Includes a row of poplar trees dividing Penton Street from the fields. A favourite Cockney resort, 'White Cundick Couse' became so disreputable in the 1830s that in 1849 it was closed and demolished.
