Abstract
Half Moon Public House on Lower Street or Road (now Essex Road) opposite the end of Cross Street, advertising 'Entire brilliant ales'. The landlord appears to be remonstrating with men outside the door. The Court of the Prebendary (church) Manor apparently used to be held here (noted on the picture mount)
