Abstract

Hagbush Cottage with a sign 'tablebeer sold here' and a man and woman outside. This mud and thatch cottage lay between two rich landowners. William Corrall, a poor infirm labourer, his wife and child were 'lawlessly and violently ejected, and the cottage destroyed on the morning of 7th September 1827'.
