Abstract

A lively scene in Colebrooke Row c.1800 of men fishing in the New River beside an Academy school and nos. 56 & 57 Colebrooke Row which were built before 1768. Boys taunt Baron Aguilar who 'had on the west bank of the New River a Starvation Farm, whose lean and emaciated livestock (shown) was notorious.'
