Signed and dated 1840. Handwritten caption glued to back, presumably added later by artist (c.1870?) 'View of Old Copenhagen House, Islington. The House stood on the spot now occupied by the Clock Tower of the New Cattle Market. The Maiden Lane on the left (now the York Road) Mawes & Sorgons (?) Floor Cloth Factory (the present Brecknock Arms) Highgate Church in the distance. View taken from the Frenchmans Island'.
