Abstract
Canonbury House, built in 1509-32 by the Earl of Northampton and demolished in the early 19th century, is shown here surrounded by fields. Inscribed 'To Charles, Earl of Northampton, Baron Compton, Lord Lieutenant & Custos Rotolorum of the County of Northampton. This engraving of Canonbury House in its Ancient State is respectfully inscribed by his much obliged & most obedient servant J. Nelson.'
