Made of tin. A rectangular green box with a hinged lid used for containing chemical Promethean matches. The lid is decorated in an Asian-inspired style, featuring a pagoda-like structure and two figures—one seated in front of another holding an umbrella. The interior of the box is painted red, and the inner lid bears an octagonal brass label inscribed with the Royal Arms and the text: “S. Jones’s Patent. Lighthouse, No. 201 Strand”.
