A colour copy of the painting was sent to the museum with a letter (29th October 2003) as a query. The antique dealer wanted to know the significance of the golden bird on a pole in the bottom right hand corner of the painting to the figures in the painting. The painting measures appox.44 x 65cm, is mounted in its original frame and is in need of restoration. Jonathan Roberts said that the picture is signed and has Barnsbury written underneath it.
