A special "V.E" day Ship's Routine Orders aboard S.S "Ranchi" outward bound to Canada.The orders would have probably been printed on the ship to announce V.E day -the unconditional surrender to the Allies of all the German armed Forces.Inside the orders are messages from the Captain, Commander and the Senior officers.On the back page are the names of the Ship's Officers and permanent staff.V.E day marked the end of the war against germany- the war with japan(and far east?)continued.The orders would have probably belonged to the donor's aunt's husbabd- Mr McGregor.
